(Undated) – Gas prices have dropped slightly from the beginning of the week. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.55 a gallon, down a penny. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is hovering around $3.89 a gallon, down three cents from Tuesday. Indiana drivers are paying $3.53 a gallon. That is a seven-cent drop from the beginning of the week. Mississippi still has the cheapest gas in the nation with a statewide average of $2.95 a gallon. In California, drivers are paying the most to fill up with a statewide average of $4.81 a gallon.
