(Undated) — The American Red Cross is in urgent need of blood donors. According to the Red Cross, there is a “critical need for blood” of all types but especially type O blood. While just 7% of the U.S. population has type-o, it can be transfused to patients with any blood type and is what hospital staff reach for during emergencies. Your next chance to donate is coming up Thursday at the Robinson Civic Center from 1 pm-5 pm. On Friday the Red Cross will be set up at Good Samaritan Occupational Health and Acute Care from 11 am-3 pm.
