Better Air Quality and More Severe Weather is in the Forecast

(Undated) – The National Weather Service continues to advise those sensitive to avoid extended time outside. However, this morning’s rains have helped to improve our air quality. According to the latest “Hazardous Weather Outlook,” significant improvements are expected this afternoon. They also say a larger complex of severe thunderstorms is forecast to cross the region this afternoon, capable of producing widespread damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes. There is a 30%-50% chance for thunderstorms from Friday through Sunday. Severe storms are possible Friday and Saturday, with damaging winds and hail as the primary hazards.
