RPD and Departments Statewide Continue Stepped Up Patrols

(Robinson) – Police officers statewide are continuing “stepped-up” July 4th patrols. Robinson Police Chief, Chad Weaver, says the safety campaign will continue through the early-morning hours of July 5th. Weaver says if you’re driving, don’t drink, use marijuana, or other drugs. Officers will be working around the clock to keep impaired drivers off the roads and enforce all other traffic laws. He says “we’re doing it to save lives.” The Robinson Police Department joins the Illinois State Police and more than 200 local police and sheriff’s departments statewide for the increased holiday enforcement effort.
