Fair Week Heat Index to Hit 100

(Undated) – The forecast for the rest of “Fair Week” in Crawford County looks hot. According to the current forecast from the National Weather Service, we can look forward to an afternoon heat index in the triple digits by tomorrow. Sunny, hot, and humid conditions are forecast for the rest of the week, with daytime highs forecast to be in the mid to upper 90s with “feels-like” temperatures near 100. Health experts say if you start sweating excessively, feel faint or dizzy, have nausea or vomiting, or develop muscle cramps it’s time to take a break. If you start to overheat, you are reminded to take a break, drink plenty of water, put a cool washcloth on your neck, and work to bring your core body temperature down.
