Farmers Remain “Cautiously Optimistic”

(Undated) – Farmers statewide remain “cautiously optimistic” about the Ag economy. According to the latest Purdue University-CME Group Ag Economy Barometer, which is the overall sentiment index, numbers were up a couple of points, which is twenty points above where it was a year ago but about eleven points below where it was two years ago.
That was Purdue Ag Economist, Jim Mintert. He says the relatively positive numbers surprised him, given recent community prices. The index is based on a survey of 400 agricultural producers.
