(Undated) – The busses are rolling once again and police countywide will be stepping up patrols for back-to-school. Authorities remind drivers to use additional caution. Drivers are reminded to be on the lookout for children walking and riding their bikes to and from school, children darting out from between parked cars, as well as speeds in school zones. Authorities also remind motorists, that when approaching a stopped school bus with lights activated and stop-arm extended, you must stop before reaching the bus. It is illegal in all 50 states to pass a school bus that is stopped to load or unload children. You are also reminded to put down your cell phone while behind the wheel.
