(Undated) – A new study says pesticides could pose a cancer risk on par with smoking cigarettes. According to a new study published in “Frontiers in Cancer Control and Society” in major corn-producing states in the Midwest, the widespread use of pesticides could lead to hundreds of thousands of more cancer cases. In February, scientists also raised concerns that there was no safe exposure level to many common pesticides, which have been linked to lung, pancreatic, and colon cancers in children and adults, as well as leukemia.
