Oblong Panthers Fall in Saturday Football Action

(Undated) – The Oblong Panthers got shut out in Saturday afternoon football action. South Fork cruised to a 52-0 win. With the loss, the Panthers fall to 2-5 and they will be back in action Saturday for a road game to St. Anne. In Friday night football action, the RHS Maroons kept their “slim” postseason hopes alive with a 35-28 win over the Newton Eagles. RHS will be back in action on Friday when they hit the road to Paris. Elsewhere Friday, the Palestine/Hutsonville Pioneers fell to Metro East Lutheran 33-8. With the loss, the Pioneers fall to 0-7 on the season. They are slated to be back in action Saturday for a road game against Schlarman.
