(Robinson) — The RHS Girls Wrestling Team finished 24th out of 27 teams in the Morris Wrestling Invitational. Head Coach, Hilary Maxwell, says the team score is not always the best way to reflect their success, as some teams are bringing up to 21 wrestlers and RHS has 6 participants. She says this style of tournament allowed all of her wrestlers to get a lot of “mat time.” She says from the beginning of season, her goal “was to get these girls as much mat time as possible.” Maxwell says Macee Hammond had a stand out weekend. She says she had been struggling with finding her groove this season but her true colors showed at Morris. The girls will be back in the mat Monday at Jacksonville.
