(Undated) – The Crawford County Health Department is celebrating “American Heart Month.” They are currently highlighting “women’s heart health.” According to the CDC, over 60 million women in the United States are living with some form of heart disease. Heart disease is the leading cause of death in women, accounting for more than 1 in 3 female deaths annually. However, women are often less aware of their heart health risks and may experience different symptoms than men. The CCHD reminds women of all ages to have important conversations with their healthcare providers and know the warning signs of a heart attack. Learn more at the CCHD’s Facebook page.
