According to the National Weather Service, as a warm front lifts north of the area, southwesterly winds will increase to 20-25 mph, with gusts reaching 35-40 mph through the afternoon. The National Weather Service also continues to keep an eye on a developing threat of severe weather on Sunday. They say strong to severe thunderstorms are expected on Sunday. There is an “Enhanced Risk,” level 3 of 5 for severe weather. At this time, it appears the primary time frame will be during the afternoon and early evening. They warn that all severe hazards will be possible, including damaging wind gusts, large hail, and tornadoes.
