Marvel Rivals Season 2 is almost here, and it is set to continue the game’s storyline, following Doom’s journey and introducing new characters. Thankfully, we have the full information on what you can expect from the season.

‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 release date
Marvel Rivals Season 2’s release date is set for April 11, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC. Season 2 Part 2 will launch six weeks after this, around May 23, 2025, or May 30, 2025.
The season should last around 12 weeks, or three months, as Season 1 did.
‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 characters
The Marvel Rivals Season 2 characters are Emma Frost and Ultron. Emma Frost will be the first character to join, with Ultron arriving during the mid-season update.
Emma Frost’s abilities have been fully revealed. She is a 3 star difficulty Vanguard with Telepathic Pulse as her main fire. This fires a psionic beam to deal consistent damage in a stream. She also has Psychic Spear. This summons a sentience-damage dealing crystal that can be pierced by Telepathic Pulse. Shattering the crystal does extra damage.
She also has a number of protection and defensive abilities. Mind’s Aegis is a levitating shield in a diamond shape that can block damage. At any point she can also enter Diamond Form, this transforms Emma’s attack style and speed while reducing her damage. In Diamond Form, she can deliver a crushing melee attack that lunges forward to grab an enemy and then executes a back slam to inflict damage. You can follow this up with Crystal Kick, launching enemies forward and dealing extra damage if they hit a wall.
Additionally, in Diamond Form she can deliver a double-fisted strike using her regular fire. Finally, her ultimate is Psionic Seduction. This projects a forward psychic aura that stuns foes and prevents them from unleashing their ultimate abilities. If fighters are affected by this for an extended period of time, Emma controls their mind and forces them towards her.

‘Marvel Rivals’ Season 2 story
The Marvel Rivals Season 2 story will see Doom attend the Hellfire Gala being led by Emma Frost. Amongst the celebrations, Ultron shows up to disrupt the party and begins attacking the X-Men at Emma’s side and our heroes.
