(Oblong) — Crawford County Deputies responded to a single-vehicle accident in Oblong yesterday morning. According to Crawford County Sheriff, Bill Rutan, at around 8:21 a.m., forty-nine-year-old Michael Bailey of Oblong reportedly swerved to miss a dog while on South Range near East Alabama Street and left the roadway, colliding with a utility pole and continuing into the yard of the residence at 502 South Range. Bailey’s vehicle sustained “disabling damage” and had to be towed from the scene. Following the accident, Ameren was called to replace the damaged utility pole.
