Lenora “Becky” Baum, 48, of Palestine, IL, passed away on April 20, 2025, at Crawford Memorial Hospital in Robinson, IL.
Born on July 2, 1976, in Charleston, IL, Becky was the daughter of William “Bill” Andrews and Donna (Owen) Andrews.
On April 7, 1996, she married the love of her life, Roy Baum, and together they built a life full of laughter, love, and shared memories. He survives, along with their son, Kenneth Baum; her mother, Donna Andrews; her sisters, Theresa Crocker and Barbie Lang; and several nieces and nephews who brought joy to her heart.
She was preceded in death by her dad, William “Bill” Andrews and by her brother, Billy Andrew.
A 1994 graduate of Newton High School, Becky went on to work at Hershey, where she met Roy. After becoming a mother, she found her calling in in-home healthcare, where she shared her kind heart and caring nature with others. Becky never knew a stranger and had the gift of gab-she could strike up a conversation with anyone and often did.
She had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, and enjoyed simple joys like cross-stitching, crocheting, and coloring-especially with her digital coloring books. She loved trying new restaurants and spending time with her friends and family, who meant the world to her. A proud “Daddy’s girl,” she cherished the bond she had with her father.
Becky was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and had been a devoted member of the Eastern Illinois Sportsman Club since 1996. She had a passion for collecting porcelain dolls, salt and pepper shakers, and purses. Summers often found her down by the river, soaking in the sun and the moments.
Becky also loved her TV time-whether she was watching her soaps like The Young and the Restless or The Bold and the Beautiful, or favorite shows like Dr. Pol, Rocky Mountain Rescue, and wrestling-those moments brought her comfort and joy.
