IECC Welding Students Took Part in Friendly Competition

(Undated) — Welding students from IECC recently took part in a friendly competition. According to IECC Director of Marketing & Communications, Chris Forde, the students took part in the first intramural welding competition, which brought together students from LTC, OCC, and Dual Credit programs for a day of “high-stakes hands-on learning.” IECC Dean of Instruction,  Amy Tarr, says events like this are vitally important for students.

Students faced off in two events, a plate test and a fabrication challenge which were then evaluated by professionals working in the field to help ensure students are “job ready.”
