50 Cent’s documentary on Diddy will release on Netflix

50 Cent‘s previously announced documentary on Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has reportedly been picked up by Netflix, and has been expanded to include new developments – find out more below.

Back in March, 50 Cent confirmed that a documentary on the sexual assault allegations surrounding Combs is to be released, titled Diddy Do It? He first announced the project in December last year, after the initial wave of allegations against Combs came to light.

Now, Variety has reported that Netflix has secured the rights to the documentary series, and has expanded the project to include the latest developments in the Diddy saga.

Diddy Do It? is being produced by 50 Cent – real name Curtis Jackson – and will be directed by Alexandria Stapleton. Jackson and Stapleton said in a joint statement to Variety regarding the series: “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far.”

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”

50 Cent has been very vocal about all of the allegations emerging against Diddy. Earlier this year, he hit out at the mogul over his apology video for allegedly attacking Cassie in recently released footage.

The latest developments in the Diddy case have seen the rapper and mogul being arrested in New York last week and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering and transporting for prostitution.

Diddy has been denied bail and was reportedly subsequently placed on suicide watch as he awaits trial. Agnifilo told TMZ that the suicide watch directive was issued as a routine measure for “new, high-profile inmates.” The latest reports suggest he is not eating in prison out of fear of being poisoned.

On Tuesday (September 24), a woman named Thalia Graves filed a new lawsuit against Diddy, alleging that the musician and his bodyguard had drugged and raped her and filmed the incident in 2001.

The charges follow a wave of accusations and lawsuits against Combs, beginning in November 2023 when R&B singer and Combs’ ex-girlfriend Cassie filed a lawsuit against him on allegations of physical and sexual abuse.

Diddy denied the claims before the pair settled the lawsuit “to mutual satisfaction” a day after it was filed. Footage of Combs’ attack on Cassie – full name Cassandra Ventura – was later released to the public in May, and Diddy issued an apology for his actions at the time.

Back in December 2023, Diddy hit back at the various accusations by claiming: “I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth”.
