Wildfire Smoke Continues to Cause Air Quality Concerns

(Undated) — Smoke from more than 100 wildfires burning across Canada continues to cause “air quality” concerns across many North American cities. The smoke has triggered air quality alerts in several states in recent weeks. Experts say those with asthma, COPD, heart disease, and the young are most at risk from poor air quality. They are advising those in the “high risk” categories to take precautions. The website AirNow.gov lists the air quality for Robinson as “moderate.” The current forecast from the National Weather Service for the area is calling for “hazy conditions” through much of the weekend.
