(Undated) – Gas prices fell over the weekend. The current national average is $3.55 a gallon, four cents lower than Friday’s average. Here in Illinois the price per gallon has fallen a nickel from Friday to $3.97. Across the Wabash in Indiana, the statewide average has fallen three cents to $3.46 a gallon. On the West Coast in California, drivers are paying an average of four cents lower than Friday at $4.79 a gallon. Mississippi continues to have the lowest statewide average at $2.97 a gallon, down two cents from Friday.
