(Robinson) – Prison staff and family members picketed outside the Robinson Correctional Facility Thursday afternoon. Local AFSME Union President, Jeremy Hendrix, says safety has become a major concern.
Hendrix says substances are being brought into the prison via the mail and being smoked by the inmates leading to staff exposure.
Hendrix says those in attendance are hoping to raise awareness of the current staffing and safety issues at prisons statewide, including the Robinson Correctional Facility.
