(Undated) – Ameren officials are warning customers to be on the lookout for scams. Ameren Community Relations Executive, Paula Nixon, says Ameren will never call their customers and demand immediate payment. She says while anyone can be a target, scammers tend to target the elderly and small business owners first. Nixon says if you get a call from someone claiming to be a utility representative and asking for immediate payment on a bill simply hang up, call police, and call the utility right away.
