Ameren Seeking Natural Gas Delivery Rate Hike

(Undated) – If you use Ameren for your natural gas, your bill could be going up. Ameren Illinois is asking state regulators for a rate hike for its natural gas delivery service. Filed on January 8th, the request is for a one-hundred-thirty-four point four million dollar gas rate hike. The utility says if the plan is approved as filed, the annual impact for the typical residential customer would be an increase of approximately $9.09 per month for delivery service. The Illinois Commerce Commission will consider the request and make a ruling sometime later this year. Ameren serves around 75% of Illinois customers. This is the power company’s third price rate hike since 2021.
