(Undated) – The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded continues to climb. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is $3.14 a gallon, a penny higher than yesterday and three cents higher than a week ago. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is just a penny higher than yesterday at $3.23 a gallon, down two cents from last Friday. The statewide average price at the pump in Indiana is unchanged from yesterday at $2.93 a gallon and is down three cents from last Friday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices in the nation with an average of $2.64 a gallon. Those in California are paying the highest prices at $4.50 a gallon.
