(Undated) — The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is up slightly from a week ago. According to this morning’s numbers from GasBuddy.com, the national average is two cents higher than a week ago at $3.17 a gallon. Here in Illinois, the statewide average is $3.24 a gallon, down two cents from last Friday. Across the river in Indiana, the statewide average is $2.94 a gallon, down three cents from last Friday. Mississippi drivers are paying the lowest prices nationwide with an average of $2.65 a gallon, unchanged from Friday’s average. Those in California are paying the highest prices in the nation at $4.80 a gallon, a six-cent increase from last Friday.
