Lambrini Girls have announced their debut album ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ – listen to new single ‘Big Dick Energy’ below.
The Brighton punk duo – comprising Phoebe Lunny and Lilly Macieira – are set to release the 11-track record on January 10, 2025 via City Slang. You can pre-order/pre-save it here.
Following on from the track ‘Company Culture’, the band’s thrashing and raucous latest song sees them tackle toxic masculinity within modern society, and ask “how big is that dick in reality?“.
Elsewhere, Lunny sings about women “apologising for [men’s] fucked up behaviour” and recalls: “I’m clutching onto my keys as soon as it hits 10:30 as it’s my sole responsibility to get home safely.”
In a statement about the single, Lambrini Girls explained: “Man comes in many forms, from world leaders to tech CEOs and humble softboys. But what unites them? Society has celebrated their supposed massive figurative and literal dicks, which they constantly flaunt. Why? Toxic masculinity.”
They continued: “Fuelling their sense of entitlement and insecurities leads to harmful behaviours. Which when left unchecked, means we have to deal with the fallout.
“The definition of ‘Big Dick Energy’ is a confidence that doesn’t need proving. Which begs the question, how big is that dick in reality? If you haven’t figured this out by now, it’s not that big.”

The forthcoming ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ was recorded with Gilla Band bassist Daniel Fox, and mixed by Seth Manchester (Mdou Moctar, Battles).
Per a press release, the album “bottles everything wrong with the modern world and shakes it up” while delving into “a laundry list of social ills”.
“You know how Fleetwood Mac almost dedicated ‘Rumours’ to their cocaine dealer?” the group added. “I think we should dedicate this album to all the booze we bought at Tesco.”
The tracklist for Lambrini Girls’ ‘Who Let The Dogs Out’ is:
1. ‘Bad Apple’
2. ‘Company Culture’
3. ‘Big Dick Energy’
4. ‘No Homo’
5. ‘Nothing Tastes As Good As It Feels’

Next month will see Lambrini Girls support IDLES at their two shows at London’s Alexandra Palace before embarking on a UK and European headline tour in 2025. Find any remaining tickets here, and see the UK/Ireland schedule below.
Speaking to NME this summer about how the IDLES opening slots came about, Lunny shared: “We’ve been like banging on IDLES’ door for a while now… eventually I think they were just like ‘Yeah, go on then’. It’ll be really fun.
“We love IDLES. I’ve been a big fan always, so it’s really good to see that come to fruition.”
She also hinted at the duo’s debut studio album at the time, teasing “a larger body of work” to come.
“We’ve written some more music, and we’ve been trying out a lot of it live,” Lunny told NME. “There’s been really nice responses to it. So just ultimately cracking the fuck on and smashing it as much as we can until we explode.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Lunny talked about exploring “societal issues” in Lambrini Girls’ music, and their decision to boycott several festivals this year in solidarity with Palestine You can revisit the full video interview above.
